I can't believe that Teagan is 9 weeks and 1 day old today! Yesterday we went for her 2 month check up. In sum, it involved 4 shots, 1 oral vaccine, and a pair of tweezers in her right eye to remove a tiny flower that must have gotten stuck on one of our walks this week. She did awesome and only cried for a bit.
We had to see an opthomologist for the flower removal. Once the doctor checked her out, he began to leave the room and said, "I'll be back- I've got to go and get the tweezers," I thought to myself, "tweezers! Really?" I said a little prayer once he left the room that all would be OK. When he came back in, in the same breath I found myself acknowledging his professionalism and recommending that we try a cotton q-tip instead of the metal tweezers. He was gracious and said he could, "get it quick with the metal." I quietly agreed and placed Teagan on her back in my lap and held her head really still. And guess what?! The doc got that silly flower out in one try! I was so thankful and complimented him on his skills with the tweezers.
Teags is "on target" with her growth curve. Here are her current stats if you're interested:
Height: 23.23 inches (76th percentile)
Weight: 11 lbs. 2 oz. (55th percentile)
The pediatrician said that she thinks Teagan will be tall and thin, but who knows?... One thing that might help this (if it turns out to be true) is that we think she has Sean's metabolism. She's a warm little baby and sweats pretty easily. I've started to call her my "little toaster."
